My Story

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based treatment for trauma and other mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD and complex bereavement. It can be very helpful in addressing the impact of a wide range of adverse life experiences on emotional health and wellbeing. For more on how EMDR may help you, see www.emdrassociation.org.uk.

Family Therapy

I'm also a family therapy practitioner, meeting with parents and their young people facing wide-ranging difficulties. Exploring these together in a safe, supportive way can build shared understanding and strategies to work together more effectively.

About Me

I have over 12 years' experience in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as a Senior Mental Health Specialist, working with children and young people aged 5 to 18 and their families across a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. My experience includes CAMHS Family Therapy Teams and specialist clinical pathways supporting young people with neurodiverse conditions (ADHD, autism) alongside mental health difficulties. My training also covers integrative psychotherapy and CBT, used to treat anxiety, depression, difficulties regulating emotions and OCD.
